I'm trying to decide between an '07 Coupe and and Vert but I'm concerned about trunk space as we plan to travel with the car. Does anyone know how many carry on size bags you can put in a Vert with a power top? (With the Top up) I'm able to get two of these in my 69 Coupe behind the seats but we need more room than that.

Briefly, the vert has half the trunk space (11 cf) of the coupe, but still that's an amazing amount of space considering it's a sports car. You'll need to pack with soft sided bags instead of the roller carry-on type of bags.
Say - IMO while the coupe has greater potential area - with the roof section in place - the useable space is reduced considerably should you decide to remove and store the top on a trip as the luggage must fit below the top section. The drawback on the vert is limited to minimal lost space forward for top down driving only. A benefit we enjoy is the no hassel access to our bags with the top down vs. removing the stored roof section to access the coupe trunk area. So, if you don't have a high maintainance bride, you should have enough room for a weeks worth or more of cloths and small purchases. Cheers

I can fit one 27x18x8 plus one carry on and a few small items and still put the top down. That's enough for my wife and me for a two week trip and still able to have the top down when we want.

my wife and I have been traveling for two seasons now and have not had any problem with our 05 vert. You do learn how to pack and our many trips have not required sport jacks or formal women wear. we use one med size soft sided suit case and one large carry all cloth bag. the rest are packed sepertly. we also use the folded soft cooler. And we love to put the top down (power)
Have taken many weekend trips in my Vert. Pack 2 soft sided leather corvette bags coats(in winter) and 2 lg pillows for my wife. These will all fit with the top down. Could get more if packed correctly. Even more room with top up.
Coupe has more room if you dont mind stacking up to the glass and risking it flying into seating are during sudden stops.
Unless you're going grocery shopping for a family of 5, the vert has plenty of trunk space. Yeah, the coupe has more, but that also includes packing your luggage high enough to block out your rear window. Vert-easy access and no one can see your stuff. Besides, top down beats roof off any day.
I was preparing for camping at Le Mans last weekend and the boot/trunk on the vert took a 4 man tent, two folding chairs, collapsible table, single burner stove, camping light, sleeping bags and left room for clothes, boots etc
The tent alone would account for a fair amount of general luggage if you were staying in hotels - so you should be fine.

This was one of the main reasons I decided on the vert. I was willing to scrip on space to have the flexibility of putting the top down while on vacation. I love to road trip my car and when I do, I spend a lot of time with the top down. The coupe just didn't seem to have enough room under the top when it was stored.

We use the vert to go food shopping (we have other cars with more space ) and there are four people in my family. That trunk hold an amazing amount of groceries!
The trunk can hold several soft type bags. There should be room enoungh for plenty of stuff for the two passengers if you pack it the right way. Don't forget the cubbies. They can hold shaving kits, make-up bags, and other smaller items.
My g/f and I make frequent long trips in the convertible. I can get two medium sized suitcases in the trunk, plus a few smaller bags. I do pack it though in a way that doesn't allow the top to go down when the bags are in. Two carry on sizes will fit if you want to allow room to put the trunk down.
If you are really concerned about it, I'd suggest taking your empty suitcases to the dealership and seeing how they fit in a convertible. I've found that it looks quite small, but fits quite a bit if you pack efficiently. Next time we take a trip I'll have to take a picture of the bags in the trunk.
I have a manual that does have a little more space than a PT.
We travel a lot, that includes going to car shows.
I do ALL my packing with top down so top moving is all worked out.
2 folding lawn chairs, cooler, car cleaning suplies, this includes a Calif duster. SOFT sidded bags for 2 peoples clothes and whatever. 2 cameras 2 jackets
normally have enought room for some small pick up items along the way to take home.
This was everthing we did in my 98, thought there was a little more room in the C5
