I got the "Service charging system" error and hooked up the Actron code reader but what's next? You're supposed to turn on the ignition but don't start the engine and it reads the codes. Since we don't have a key, I've tried foot on brake, off brake, acc mode and all I get is "connection error". The reader works on our otherr OBDII cars. Any suggestions?
Same results in ignition mode. What is "CAN" enabled?
edit:
Just looked up "CAN'..... looks like I need a new reader.
You need a new reader. A cheapie that is CAN ready is the INNOVA model 3030. Available at Walmart for about $70. Save your old unit for you other non CAN vehicles.

I've got an Innova 3100 (or something close to that) and it's a great unit. You can order it off their web site as well.
