I need your input.
I'm looking at an 07 2LT car. My previous C6 was a 3LT.
Do you regret not having the 3LT options?
Are you happy with your car as-is?
What would you all say is a good price for a 2LT, MN6, Z51 coupe? (no Nav, 5K miles, no mods).
Thanks,
Ryan

I was looking at a 1LT and a 2LT before I came across the 3LT I purchased. I really think it depends on what you want from the car and how long you plan to keep it.
The way I see it the HUD, Bose six disc radio, heated and memory seats and homelink are nice to have, but are they really worth the extra cost. Because I the deal I got on my car I got my 06 3LT for what an 07 2LT was going to cost me. I figured in the long run I would like the extra features and have a car that was easier to resell and that would hold its value better. I am happy with my choice.

where are you located and what do you plan on doing? for me, i'm in texas and i plan to replace the audio with good aftermarket stuff later. that being said, i passed on the 3lt and got my 2lt. no use for heated seats for me here and i'll replace all the bose stuff anyway. to me, having a hud wasnt worth the difference in price since the other options in the 3lt pkg are moot for me.
Anyone with 2LT that never had anything different would, of course, not miss the missing options. You, on the other hand, having had a 3LT would miss them. So it is really your call... Would you be able to live without the bells and whistles and be happy, or not. FWIW I couldn't live without the HUD anymore...

I didn't care about the HUD one way or another. Heated seats I can take or leave. Audio I can replace with better if I really want to, the stock stereo is just fine because I can hear it with the top off. I couldn't care less about NAV, I do better with a $10 WalMart road atlas and a keen sense of direction anyhow.
How about Z51 vs non-Z51 for general touring, no track use, w/ 2LT cars?

I like the Z51 option, but I wanted the most performance I could get from the C6 without buying a Z06. The Z51 is fine for the street as far as I am concerned. Much better than the modified suspension on my 350Z in terms of ride.

By the way, I'm in Missouri. The roads suck out here. Car would be used for half of my days commuting (about 15 miles each way) and for frequent weekend trips <350 miles all around the midwest, and 2 longer trips each year.
My last car had every option except onstar, including Z51. Also considering a 'vert. I just think the stripped-down C6 is a fantastic value, and the rest of the stuff didn't mean all that much to my driving experience. I was happy with the car itself once I had Borlas & nice wheels on it.

I find the Z51 just fine for general touring, which is all we do. My car is loaded with everything but NAV, but I don't know if I would have specially ordered it so equipped. Other than the HUD, I don't seem to use much else.

I'm in Texas as well. I'm not too into heated seats, however, if they were cooled like my BMW's...I'd spend 10K for the option. The HUD was very distracting to me. I can't stand to see the glare of my radar detector. As far as the audio, I was planning on getting rid of it from the beginning. I've got all the audio sitting in a closet waiting to be installed. Memory seats...all it needs to remember is that if someone else besides me sits in the drivers seat...HIT EJECT!!

I'm too lazy to check, but what is the main difference b/t 2 and 3LT? My gotta haves are the HUD and homelink garage door openers. I like the electrochromic mirrors and heated seats, but life would be fine w/o them.
I had the 1SB (3LT) on my 05 and opted for the 2LT on my current 06. Im pretty happy with it. As many have said the HUD was nice, but I dont really miss it. The other features I could care less about. What I ended up doing was putting a new Pioneer Avic D3 Nav system in to replace the stereo. That cost me $800. Let me tell you that is much much less than paying for the 3LT package and then paying for the Nav option. For me it was money well saved that can go towards other things. But they are all great cars!!

By the way, I ordered my 2007 with the options I wanted: 2LT and Z51 only.

I got the1SB (3LT) package primarily for the HUD. Turns out the easy exit function of the memory seat package is also very desireable to me. I like the Homelink, but wouldn't have paid much extra for it as a stand alone option. I have no use for the heated seats, though I would have paid extra for cooled seats. I'm not a fan of the auto dim mirrors. They dim too much, and stay dimmed too long after the bright lights dwindle in the distance. I wound up covering the sensor with a piece of tape. The Blose sound system just sucks, I'd have paid extra not to have had it included in the package.
Along with nearly everyone else, I'd really like to see Chevy unbundle these packages, and let us pick and choose the options we actually want on our cars. With the computerized JIT inventory system they have at the plant, there's no extra production cost to unbundling. But of course by forcing us to buy options we don't want to get options that we do, Chevy makes more money off of us, so the packages are likely to stay.

The HUD is worth the price!!!
