After three years (c5 & C6) with a LMB coupe, I traded up to a Machine Silver Convertible. Just in time for the warmer weather.
I went poking around and noticed a lot of 06's still on the lots. A local dealer (Jerry Hagerty) discounted 10k off a loaded vert and gave 37500 on my LMB coupe (which i thought was agressive for dealer trade).
Is anyone else seeing these kind of deals? Did i get as good a deal as I thought

Sounds like a lot. That would be almost 1/3 of the 07 production...however there are enough 07's that aren't being sold so that the consumer gets a smokin' deal. Anything more then "UNDER MSRP" is a rip off. Seriously. Let the dealer pay the customer the 2% or so they get back from GM. It's a buyers market now, like in 03, and 04

I would guess it is possible. All Corvettes that leave the factory are "sold". Some are sold to customers placing orders, others are sold to dealerships for stock. The Corvette is a make to order vehicle. The dealerships will take a car in from the factory to preserve their allocation and make their quota to keep their allocation level for next year. The factory should make about 3000-3100 cars per month from the factory so that would be a little more than a three month supply.
A quick check on the Jeff Hardy lookup tool found 5,934 available in all body styles, all options Nationwide so I'd say that the 10,000 was an exaggeration.

I think you did good. The 10k discount you received was fair but what I feel makes your deal a good one was the discount coupled with a great price for your '05 coupe in trade.
Where's Haggerty at?? I'm looking for a new vert now. (I never should've sold my 05) I'm in Lemont and if there dealing like that it'll be worth the trip.

I just bought my first one the other day. It was a 2005 coupe with 11,000 miles on it. It was 39,900.00. They gave me 12,000 for my 2003 Impala with 21,000 miles on it.

They are in Glen Ellyn on Roosevelt, about two miles west of 355.
I worked with Tom Briehme (sp?).
I am not sure how many (if any) more vert 06's they have left. Go to www.corvette.com and then find vehicle. You can specifiy zip code, then 2006 convertible, and it will bring up everybody in your area. Others were also aggressive, but they were more aggressive.
I also talked to Pat O'reilly (something irish) at EVS (Ernie Von Shellhorn) in Random Lake Wisconsin, and they were also very aggressive, but did not have the color i wanted. I bought my last c6 there, and they were well worth the trip, and would "deal" by phone so you knew the numbers before you got there.
