Hey all! New member here. I'm not a Vette owner yet. It's going to be a while. Maybe a couple of years. Since it's not going to be a daily driver (because of the neighborhood in which I work) I'm going to need to pay of my current ride first. And save in the meantime. But I stumbled onto this forum and am impressed by the amount of info and quick responses here. So I'm just going to hang around am soak up as much vette knowledge that I can brfore taking the plunge if that's alright with everyone. I've wanted one since I was a kid and now I'm going to make it happen. So I just wanted to say hey and thanks for all the info I've already been soaking up. With paying that much $$ for a car I really want to know what I'm getting into. So I'll probably just be hanging around but may chime in with questions from time to time. So thanks in advance and can't wait to actually be "part of the club". Cheers and drive safe!

Welcome to the forum. No need to own one to enjoy them. You've come to the right place for all things Corvette. In my opinion this is the best forum on the net for Corvette knowledge. Look around everywhere here, don't hesitate to ask questions (no such thing as a dumb question other than the question not asked.) We'll help out as best we can.

It's good to have you here. The Corvette Forum is a tremendous resource...take advantage of it...ask questions. What you learn here will help you tremendously when you're ready to buy your Vette.

buy two years from now? that gives you plenty of time to decide on color and F55 or Z51

to the forum. Information here is great, and it is also a good opportunity to meet other Corvette fanatics.

I found this forum so useful that I decided months ago to become a lifetime gold member. I encourage everyone who has found this forum to be a useful and fun place to be to become a supporting member.

Except in two years, the color you decide on may no longer be available (like Monterey Red, LeMans Blue, Daytona Sunset Orange, etc., etc.).

Default Wow

Wow thanks for the welcome! I know 2 yrs sounds like FOREVER! I'm usually more of an impulse buyer. LOL!! I figured better to be informed and know the ins and outs as much possible before spending that much dough. Til then I'll live vicariously thru all of you. I'm a regular on a motorcycle forum and probably have spent what my bike is worth on MODS for it. If that happens with the vette I'm sure to be divorced soon after! LOL!!! YEah my fav color for this year (Monterey Red) is already biting the dust. But that Machine Silver is sweet too! and the black...and the VR...and the AO...and the MY...and the white.......

Not only it is alright, it's the smart thing to do before signing on the dotted line.
An informed buyer makes for a happy owner.

When you're ready to make a move, check first with any one or more of our great forum dealers.
You'll get the best possible deal on a new CCar, and not be concerned with senseless shenangans.

Welcome & congrats on making a great future choice.

I probably shouldn't say this on the C6 Forum but you don't have to start with a C6. You can buy an older Vette a LOT cheaper and have some fun while still saving for that C6 or C7.
Anyway, welcome!

Welcome aboard. I don't have a vette yet either, but I'm planning on buying one in the future. I too am trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can prior to spending big money on a car.
