after searching the forums and asking zillions of questons I finally pulled th trigger on one of these cars (with the options the way I was going to order new) 
05 loaded to gills, onstar, chromes, transparent top, z51, 1sb, nav, manual trans, 8.9k miles
This car even had some 'goodies' with it:
Corsa exhaust
matching door handle color
painted calipers
aftermarket carpet for the rear wth matching vette logo floor mats
'trunk organizer'
with lojack installed it was 39.5 out the door (tax free purchase), less registration
This time the dealer was prepped to deal right and I was gone with the car in 1.5 hour.
One draw back it the dealer is going to order the Nav disk on their cost as it was missing which is fine for now, the real problem is I have zero manuals for the car, is an online source for all the manuals available? if not where can I get them.

Congratulations on the new ride. These are awesome cars. Seems to me you did pretty good on price and you got a head start on some common mods. Enjoy the ride. Here's to many miles of smiles.

If you can live with the previous generation disk, I'd canx the nav disk from the dealer ... you can get for free from a CF member when they receive their upgrade.
