I found a mobile tinting service that gaurantees satisfaction. Trouble is they want $ 350...
What I want to know is, what is everyone else paying for their perfect one piece tint jobs? In south carolina I got an estimate for $150 but the guy wasn't experienced enough to let him touch my car. Here in san diego I got a quote from a mobile service that gaurantees it up the wazoo, but it's $350.00!! For a tint job!! What is everyone else paying?
PS anyone know for real what the laws are regarding window tint in CA? I have out of state registration and plates. Does this mean I can get away with darker tint than CA allows, since I'm "just visiting (for 3 years )?
Sounds like I'm paying the extra $ for the convenience of mobile service. Still waiting on quotes from places that would require me to take the car in.
I found out who does the tinting for the dealership but their shop was quite-a-ways from where I live. I decided to have them do it at the dealership (it was only $10.00 more and much more convenient). The cost was $180.00. They did a one-piece install on the back window.
I went to a good installer and had my rear window done for $125. They'll probably have a few good automotive magazines to read. Time will fly by..........
Dealer already tinted the car and the tack-on window sticker had $225, of course I didn't pay that. But compared to $350 that doesn't seem all that bad of a deal. Mine has Madico film and they did a good job. I'd shop around.
