Borla Sports w/round tips. This is a great sounding system, almost no drone and a great muscle car sound. Plus it's 20+ pounds lighter than other systems.
Pics please, of Borla quad, round or oval on your own car.
Trying to make a decision between the two, but need to see.
Also, is there a "sound difference" between the round or oval? I'm leaning toward the "S"' with x-pipe for my '07, Z51, MZ6. Thanks
I'm running the Borla Stinger, 07 Vert, Z51, MZ6, really like the sound. However, there is some drone at or about 1,700 rpm, really noticeable when pulling a grade. Not much of an issue with the m6 in a Vert, but I sure wouldn't want them in an auto coupe. Last car was an A4 F55 coupe with Corsa Sports, a good safe exhaust if you don't want the greatly feared DRONE...
i have the sports i love em.!! Hey HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU KEEP EM SHININ LIKE THAT????? Mine are nasty and i find myself wiping down every time i take the car out. how do i bring the shine back??

Ed's aka "Pipedreams" SS cleaning/polish kit. $40 and your good to go assuming you have a chaep electric drill laying around.
I asked if the GM catback (Borla) was any less quality than the Borla namesake exhaust. Surprisingly, he said no. They were exactly the same, only the Borla brand has Borla on the tips (of course). And the dealer charges more, unless you can get a good discount. They charge separately for the catback, x-pipe and tips.
I just got a Borla stinger system #100438 quad round tip put on my 2000 c5 vert. All i can say is AWESOME!!! The sound is incredible! The tips are huge also. The only drone (a good drone) is 1st,2nd and to 3rd gear. After that you really don't hear too much. I even dropped the top today and the drone was very minimal. Bottom line, get this system!!! I also spoke with Harley yesterday from Borla (found out we are from the same small town) and discussed the million mile warranty. As long as you have your original invoice you are covered. Borla will replace any defect (unless you cause it) even if its 10 years down the road. Just hold onto your invoice. Anyway just my 2 cents. C'mon its only money right?? You can't take it with you when you die.. Have fun now!!!!

Borla 11749 rectangle tips. Mated to Longtube headers w/x-pipe. K&N CAI up front. Extremly quite at highway speeds. Wicked sounding on take off. Stone guards from Pipedreams provide high speed high speed stability.
