Forget the haters its your Vette and unclear why they really care as its not like you put a 6ft wing on the back like a ricer. In 08 they are leaning more to the Z51 anyway it appears option or not. I did place mine lower on the fender under the vent so as not to mimic the Z06 and do not like the Z06 placement anyway. The above site is high quality also.

Seems that some people, usually ones who do not own Z51 C6s, are overly concerned about what others put on their cars. "Option" "model" doesn't matter, its your car, you bought it, put on it what you want.
Anyway, they can be ordered here:

It does get boring around here-I really miss the old Z51 versus the non-Z51 controversies. I mean how many times can you answer with a straight face the "I'm 3300!", "I pulled the trigger!", or "What Color...." threads!

This is very funny...I am a relative newcomer who just got a used C6 that happened to have the the Z51 package.....I really didn't want it/don't need it....would be just as happy if it didn't have it....
But this reminds me of an old friend from High school...he had a very sharp 1963 Impala coupe with a 327.
He added "409" badging to both fenders, above the crossed flags signifying the 327,...so it looked exactly like a 409......we loved it.

I also like their LS2 logos. If I were to put badges on my car, the ones from Car Motorsports would be the ones I would get. Call me crazy but even if I had a Z I'd probably remove the factory fender jobbies as well. I don't mind the flags on the bumpers but that's about it. But what works for me doesn't always work for everyone.

That's ok, we have the 243/799 heads controversy to make up for it.

all is peaceful and tranquil but opinions do differ sometimes...
That sort of reminds me of a guy I knew in College who took his 90 plain LX Mustang (2.3L 4cyl) and put 5.0 badges on the fenders, and then tried to convince me he had a 5.0L. It was pretty obvious, and when he saw that I had a 91 LX 5.0 he quickly told me they came like that on the car.
Yes, this carried to an extreme is a cloned car. The first widebody conversions I believe included a Z06 badge. That's just plain wrong I think. Now people understand that widebody conversions look good whether they are Z06s or not. I wish the 08s looked like the Z06s as I prefer the appearance over the regular. You can find '69 Camaro Z28s that turn out to be 10 bolt 307s with powerglide under the sheetmetal and emblems.
The Z51 emblem is not dishonest in the sense of these incorrect badges or clones. As far as one post about 'haters' I don't recall any. I do recall some 'dislikers' and I'm one of them. I am also a 'preferer' in that I prefer stock over mod. Keep it stock is generally my motto.
I hope that GM puts an end to the controversy once and for all by putting a Z51 emblem on the 08s so equipped. I think this would make sense IF that option for once actually includes more hp as the rumors have it ( 435 vs 425 ).
This has been the problem all along in my opinion in that while the Z51 option brings some unique features it never brought more hp.
So please let me know if any of you spot any hateful comments in my post here.....I don't see any or intend any. If I think a Z51 badge makes about as much sense as a 2LT badge then that's my business and my opinion and doesn't mean I hate anyone. If I like stock instead of mod in vettes then it just makes me like the majority of vette owners ( but not necessarily forum participants who seem to be more on the mod end of the spectrum ).
peace, mahaho, shalom....etc

The fender calls for something. It looks bare without an emblem. In keeping with Corvette tradition, since older Corvette models all had an emblem on the fender, I will be getting them soon.

Been down the same road you are on. Got my thread locked because of the heated debate... to emblem or not to.
I did, and it looks really cool. The best emblem out there is:

You cannot reach them via phone very well. Place the order online and the ship pretty quick. I really love the quality. FYI...

GM could just as easily made the Z51 a model in and of itself, if they wanted to. No one would put an emblem on their car for Power Windows, which is too, an "option". However, the entire Z51 package can't really be considered an option in the same way Power Windows are, thus the Emblems fit if one chooses to put them on.

I think the C6 Z51 performance package really surprised long time Corvetters who when they heard "Z51" they just thought it was the old AutoX suspension option warmed over only to find out later that it was an improved C5Z06 package moved over to the C6. Not that everyone wants either the Z51 or the C5Z06.
The real trouble I have with the fender emblems on the C6, and this includes the Z06, is that the emblem doesn't look like it is sitting level over the bone. Now if you took the Car Motosports' version and hung it low on the "B" pillar or on the front side of the rear fender where the "GM" badge sits, then to me, design wise it would work.
