Default Z51 Emblem

I've got a new Velocity Yellow Coupe on order with the Z51 package. Is there a Z51 emblem on the front sides like the Z06? I know I've seen them, but don't remember if they are after market.

If they are aftermarket where can I get them?

Thanks in advance.

They are aftermarket and a huge controversial topic around here. Your best bet is to check Ebay. I'm not sure if there are any vendors selling any on the forum.

Oh and congrats on your purchase.

OK, until now, I've been hanging out in the C5 Z06 section for obvious reasons. Why would a Z51 emblem be controversial?

do a search . . . .sorry to not be more informative, but it's been beaten to death on a regular basis and is always debated but never resolved.

They're available from this website:

Basically...

It is an option, not a model.

It would be like getting a MZ6 badge or a
3LT, Z51, U3U, UE1, QX3 badge.

Seems that some people, usually ones who do not own Z51 C6s, are overly concerned about what others put on their cars. "Option" "model" doesn't matter, its your car, you bought it, put on it what you want.

Anyway, they can be ordered here:

OK, I get it now. I remember all the fuss when people put a Z06 emblem on a coupe. Even though that doesn't make sense it's still their car. More important things in life to get worked up about. I've now looked at some of the Z51 badges and yours look good. Some others look cheap. I'll keep looking and get ones I like.

Or better yet, put one of each.

I have Z51 emblems like DSOM 51's too. I got mine from someone on eBay. I also have a custom alternator cover from Ed at Pipedreams with Z51 on it.

I know I will catch hell about that from someone on this board.

I am doing a widebody conversion. I also have a wire EDM machine.
I am going to make Z51 emblems EXACTLY like the OEM Z06 emblem.
I have made one already and it looks great, my camera doesn't take good photos or I would post a photo. (if I knew how) It has the curve like the Z06, not cut out of flat metal and also has the curve to fit the body. It is much nicer than an other ones out there. You can email me and I will send the photo of what I have.

While not much of a badge guy myself, I think the Car Motorsports looks the best in that the product is smaller and more tastefully done. As far as the Z51 emblem controversy goes around here in the land of over-chromed trinkets, don't sweat it as it was just about sour grapes and envy. In any case, when someone buys your car for you, then worry about their opinions, elsewise do what you want to your car.

Welcome to C6 Land!

Yea....You can make your car look like a Z06 with a wide body kit but dont put Z51 badges that look like Z06 badges on your car.
Dont worry what anyone says. You want badges on your car, put badges on your car. Who cares what those non-Z51 badge car owners think

This one claims to be a "GM officially licensed product", whatever that means. Anyway here it is:

Been down the same road you are on. Got my thread locked because of the heated debate... to emblem or not to.

I did, and it looks really cool. The best emblem out there is:

http://www.carmotorsports.com/emblems_Z51.htm

You cannot reach them via phone very well. Place the order online and the ship pretty quick. I really love the quality. FYI...
