Didn't that k1 guy bark all this info on how he knew the hp would be rated at 450hp, just wait and see? Granted nothings official yet but we can all see just the "claimed" extreme knowledge base on the internet

Its worth trading up for that box alone.
Just to play devils advocate (you know I love doing that), it is not neccessarily a "Z06" exhaust that is rumored to be on the new Z51, it's an exhaust with valves LIKE the Z06. It could have smaller tips to differentiate it from the Z06 (I don't believe that myself, but food for thought).

I've long suspected the Z06 intake would be a great bolt-on if possible due to the large airbridge. LS3 gets it stock. In any case wonder if it's possible to just pull out the sensor, block off the sensor opening, and bolt it right up on an LS2 using the stock MAF.
LMAO at this exhaust if that's the new "ZO6" option.

that's NOT the interior that corvette rick conti posted with all the color chips the other day. it had a much different dash set-up...kinda retro. i don't think the wheels are so bad either.

Did Cooksey say anything about a performance differential in the car he was driving?

Wishing I was there... anyways, HiRes pics being sent to me now. With email filters, probably another 3 hours or so before I get them. He did emphasis that Cooksey was saying 430-436 is about what the engine makes and to be conservative GM would probably list it at 430. So nothing is official yet. He did also say that the red interior is now darker than the 07 red interior. I'll get the shots posted as soon as I have them.
Thanks for the great information.

Very good of you to post.
It makes heros out of some and zero's out of others.

It's awesome to get a sneak peek at all this new stuff, it's just too bad they didn't have a Jetstream Blue car or the new red. I must admit the wheels don't look all that bad. They looked much worse on that low res camera phone picture we saw (on the blue 08 convertible)

With this great photo of the new LS3 engine, to compare with the LS2 -the air intake nozzle is different and there is a trapazoidal shaped black plastic cover on the right (passenger) side of the air intake in front of the beauty cover.
The LS3 is missing a steel band (clamp) where the mass airflow sensor (MAS) is located, now it looks like the MAS is directly in the air intake nozzle and this additional black plastic cover on the right side could be a noise suppressor for the intake air if the new LS2 is sucking in more air than the LS2, maybe EPA required a quieter air intake on full throttle.
Any of you M. Engineers want to take a educated guess?
The black surface on the center console could be this imitation carbon-fiber that was on the Ron Fellows Z06 - but the wheels still look strange, but better polished than '05 to '07!!
Thanks to Wil Cooksey for letting the preview take place today in Memphis instead of next weekend at the Museum and thanks for these cool photos.

I doubt it is 4LT ... because previous rumors have stated that the 4LT would have a 2-tone interior ... and those seats are allll red ...
