Default 1LT vs 2LT

Good evening. I am considering a new C6. I have owned a few C5s in the past.

My question is if the bump to 2LT is worth it. I know 3LT has all the goodies, but honestly I don't want to waste all that cash. I am in it for the motor and the handling. Which I get out of the box with Z51 and 1LT.

That being said, can anyone sell me on the 2LT package?

Thanks!

2007 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe LT1

2007 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe LT3

the 2nd numbers are invoice here in dallas u can buy these cars at invoice when you order them. 43,700 so like 44 grand for a 3lt car in my opinion there is no other way to go than 3lt you get the heads up display and other goodies and also it REALLY REALLY helps the resale of the vehicle did you know 64% of vettes were 3lt so that is aviously what most people want. People will always buy a car with an extra option on it but people will not buy a car if it doesnt have something on it that they want. so just based on all that 44K for a 3lt thats the only way to go in my book man hope that helps u out

For me the sports seats were the issue. I wouldn't consider 1LT because of the seats. Also the price difference is closer than the 2LT-3LT gap.

Who is quoting 44k for a 3LT car? If so add Z51 and I am in...

Bruce lowrie Chevrolet IN DFW area they advertise 8 k off on a 58 k car but you can talk them down to 10k off so you get the car for about 48 tax tile licens come out the door less than 50k you get way more of a discount on 3lt than 1lt its pretty stupid to buy 1lt in my opinion there is so much more markup in the 3lt cars it doesnt cost GM hardly **** more to produce a 3lt car than 1lt and if you get them at invoice the price different isnt much and the 3lt car generally sells for way more and holds a higher resale value than 1lt. Ive seen some 1lt cars a year old that look 10-15 k and 3lt cars deperciate like 7 k. so you do the math

i saw the seats in an 1LT and really glad i got the 2LT.... a little nicer looking (1LT not that bad) passenger controls and air bags for both was worth the extra cash!!!!

also got the rear cargo shade and webbed cargo holder...

I've seen 3LT's with a $5000 discounts - 2LT's about $3000 off and a $40K 1LT no option model

Get the 2LT, better safety & the seats are well worth the small amount extra.

IMO 3LT is the way to go. I know of too many people who thought they would be happy with fewer options, only to be disappointed later.
I've had the HUD since my C5 and would not buy a Corvette without it.

I agree, safety should always be a major concern and a 2lt should not be needed to get it, but that is the way it is.

If you are a 1/4 mile racer then every pound counts. The 1Lt is the way to go. Side impact bags do weigh more as well as most accessories. Z51 definitely weighs more with the larger brakes. For drag racing they are not needed.

In my case I went with 1LT and Z51 because I wanted the handling package. As for regrets, the seats do suck but I'll get over it. I can always purchase a cargo net and sun shade. There are other disappointments with the interior that I will be upgrading over time such as replacing the shift and ebrake boots and covering the center console with leather. I am interested to see what the plastics in the '08 center console and HUD/DIC area will look like.

not to mention heated seats if you live in cold climates.
the compus on the rear view mirror is beneficial for me as well.

I went with 3LT, I wanted it all and I didn't consider it a waste in any way.

I usually buy 1lt base cars, but Verts only come with the 2lt package.

My 2006 and 2007 coupes were both 1lts.

I must admit, the 2lt seats (3lt is the same) are worth the extra money if you have a bad back.

My New 2006 Vert is a 3lt.

Being a manual tranny, the better seats and memory seats are a must have for me.
I used to curse any time someone moved my seats in my 2006 1lt coupe with the manual tranny.
