Mine didn't come with a "glass" top so I went out and bought one right away. I'd use it year around up North but down here in TX ya gotta have the solid top in the summer or you'd fry...
BTW I paid $1200 or so, figure I can sell it for $600-$800 if I ever get rid of my Vette. That's a $400-600 investment rather than a $1400 investment if you get the two top option.
Glass top looks better with the black A-pillars on the C6 IMHO.
I was going to order both tops because I loved the idea of the transparent roof but not in the heat of summer. When I found the Down South Vettes headliner, I changed my order to transparent top only. I am very happy with my decision...best of all worlds.
