As posted in another thread I had lost my 'hard' keys and now have the replacements. Problem is I wnet to program a new FOB and it wants it to be #3, the #2 is the one we have in hand now, the back of the new FOB is #1 and I would like it to be so. How do I get the system to recognize this as FOB #1 and erase the previous FOB #1? I worry because the manual always states that the memory is for #1 and #2 FOB and if this is recognized as #3 I would think we would be out of the memory recall feature for one FOB. I do have a manual but its electronic.
edit: I did a a search and seen a post from calemasters in regards to this. So if I read his post right I have to take this to a dealer or have a scan tool to erase the old fob #1 and program the new one as such?
Thanks
