What time is museum delivery? I'm thinking maybe I fly up there early one morning if possible and just go tot he museum. What about driving home, was anyone nervous about leaving the new car at a motel or do you have the attitude of its just a car? After so many cars, I'm starting to get the attitude of its a car, and if something happens it happens.
I've made this offer before.............. you fly into Nashville. I pick you up at the airport. We drive to Bowling Green. Front door service. Doesn't get much eaiser than that.

I just might take you up on that. Do you pick us up on a vette?

How could anyone refuse an offer like this? Cool, Mike. Very cool.

Thanks Mike, but it's really nothing. I live maybe 45 minutes from the museum. Always willing to help out a Corvette owner, or a soon-to-be Corvette owner.
Flew into Nashville.
Got the rental at Enterprise (they have a NCM deal) - got a Lucerne.
Drove to BG.
Stayed at the Hampton.
Ate at the Montana Grill (highly recommend this).
Got up the next day and had a SWEET NCM experience!
I stayed at the Super 8 when I visited BG earlier this year and I highly recommend it. It's a new facility, the rooms are very nice (got a suite for around $75/night) and the location is perfect. (Plant is behind, museum is across the highway & visible from the Super 8 parking lot.) Here are a few pics.

Thats got to be, "Hands Down" the coolest offer that I've read on this board.
has anyone ever done museum delivery alone? is that common or do you usually go with someone? My wife certainly is not keen on going, but I feel kinda weird going myself.
I was at the NCM over the weekend and met some folks that did their delivery. They came in from Oregon and a father & son both picked theirs up to drive home.

You sure won't feel weird once you see your new Corvette on display right in front of you in the Museum. And you will feel absolutely ecstatic once you fire it up and head out onto the highway! Your wife and friends can log onto the Museum web site and actually see you as you are taking delivery of your Vette. Museum Delivery is a terrific experience whether you are there by yourself or otherwise.

I will likely go by myself. I'm kind of a loaner anyway, and I'll enjoy the drive home. I can listen to the radio as loud as I want, and fart whenever I want
well, maybe I'll consider going myself. Does anyone think its feasible to fly in during the morning and pick up the car that day? am I being too much of a cheapskate trying to save the hotel expense?
