I sold my first and (most likely) last 'Vette. No real complaints about the car...it was everythning as advertised...but I will never shake the Blue Oval thing...and so now off to enjoy getting crazy with an '07 "Shelby" SVT GT500 and devoting more attention (read restoration $$) to the vintage ponies in the stable. The new GT500 is certainly not as refined, but a hoot to drive, and I am planning to have SA do some of their advertised mods at their shop in Vegas to boost power and handling.
Sorry to hear that you're leaving. Good luck with your ponies. I had a V-8 HO mustang convertible once. Couldn't hold a candle to my vettes but to each his own. You don't have to own a vette to hang out here.
It would be a all out cold day in hell before i let go of my C6! This is the first car that has me hooked, everytime i look at it i fall in love all over again.
I think most of us have ties to cars that we grew up with. I'm a Chevy guy, so I have a C1, C2 and a C5. My first new car was a 64 Chevelle SS. Ever so often, I'll buy another one for a while and then sell it after several years, but keep on wanting another, so I'll buy another one, etc.
Nothing wrong with the Mustangs. If that's what gets you a woody, then own them. I have a neighbor that's die hard MoPar. All his cars are Chrysler Corp including a 69 Barracuda Type S conv. He likes my old vettes but would never buy one.
