Thinking about getting the window tinted as well
Glad you posted about your car vette, I asked the guy that has tinted 4 of my cars in the past about tinting my c6 and he quoted a 300-350 dollar price. Heck he has tinted all the rear windows of my wife's car for 150. I asked about this and he said " That is a car that will take all day to do because of the complex curves of the window" Anyone heard of this before? or is he just adding the "corvette tax" to me?

The shop I checked with also told me $300 and they would keep it over night to make sure everything was right, because it takes all day to do it right.

My guy did all three windows in less than 2 hours for about $225, and that is with a one piece rear film. But then my guy has done 100s of C5s and several C6s. Its all in the experence. If its the first time for your guy on a C6 it will take a lot longer, but all day 
.

Thanks for the advice, as for the guy with the black roof reflection problem, just put your cargo shade over it. Pretty simple fix. I think I'll take it back to the shop and see what he can do about it. I might just have him put black vinyl over the dots. $350 for the rear window is ridiculous. mine took the guy 4 hours and he only charged $180 for three windows.
Another question, Does anyone have their windshield tinted with the lightest tint possible? I'm considering it because it will block UV rays and crap.

In every state i have seen or had tint in the FRONT winshield is Illegal to tint. most state have strong requirements for all other windows unless its a SUV, van, or some trucks
the "man" (government) doesnt care about your UV, car or looks..

and a major hassle w/ mirror and state stickers (inspection/tags) because it needs to be changed every year. However i have seen it on several vehicles around here, and it can be hidden or rather go unnoticed by adding a very dark eyebrow.
