To be brutally honest, I'd prefer the rating to be RWHP but I guess GM needs to try and get the number to be a standard that can be stated regardless of the drive train combination selected.
When someone asks me what I have, I try and give RWHP figures so the power can be related to the conversation at hand.
400 is a nice number but I'm sure we are a bit shy of that in the number that is always used to compare specific cars. When I say 551 for my Camaro, I'm talking RWHP not bhp or FWHP.
So I quote a lower number than 400 when asked about my HP on the Vette. I haven't been on the dyno with this car yet so I SWAG a number around 360 RWHP for the car. Telling someone its 400 seems to be misrepresenting the actual power but I guess that's just me unless you add Fly wheel rating behind it.
