And the bad thing about the power top is that it can quit working in the middle of it's cycle. The manual top is pretty foolproof.

I have 07 vert (5/14 build date) 2LT, two tone seats, dual power seats. I DID NOT want power top. This is not a 66 Lincoln drop top. Taking the top up or down takes less than 30 secs. I own a 69 vette.. manual top , 68 camaro manual top, 72 Benz. manualk top, 00 vette manual top.. if it breaks, you are scr**ed.

Heads up can be added with NEW GM parts AND Harness.. NAV can be added (better than stock) as well (Eclipse AVN6610, with total IPOD control), Total cost for these two add ons (at least for me) 2k.....

No cutting of wires, nada.. easy installs..

(When I picked my car up, the dealer had two cars waiting to be worked on for non-functional power tops!!)

Spend the $$ on the Z51.. better for the fun factor!!

Blue Pill >>> I had same question over a year ago ..........anyways orderd my 07 Convertable with 3lt , first the power top takes little from trunk, there is a safty shield that clips up for lowering top...if top up & shield down believe trunk same size..anyways power top comes top so quick ( guess i got lasy) glad i have it you can put top down when at stop light & decide you want top down............had to have HUD & quickly got used to sterring wheel radio controlls........however i liked good old days when you could pick options one by one..... the Dog Woof

When I bought my '07 3LT convertible, I didn't get the GM Navigation system because it pretty much sucks. And, you can buy a much better aftermarket system for much less. I've heard some folks say they bought the GM Nav system just to fill the space in the console center stack - oh, that's a good reason! Other than that, I like the 3LT and all of the features it provides - even the heated seats, which I didn't think I would ever use . . . but if you drive early enough or late enough into the season, you will find times you are glad to have them, especially in the convertible. The power top is also a nice feature . . . manual tops were OK for MGB's, Triumphs and the like, but not in a car of this caliber and price range.

Still a great car, no matter how you equip it. Get what you like, you'll love what you get.

I paid about $4k for the 3LT which I bought with an employee discount.
If I had to pay full price, I most likely wouldn't have ordered it.
It is a lot of money for the 2 main features I wanted; tele wheel and hud.

It's really cool having the Nav system show up in the HUD and the Nav works just fine. I've had several Nav systems and they all have their quirks but I'm satisfied with the Nav in my 07 3LT Coupe. Didn't think I cared one way or the other on the steering wheel controls but now that I have them I love them. You also get the built in garage door opener which is a small thing but a heck of a lot better than having a clip on opener hanging off your visor. You won't be sorry if you get the 3 LT.

I like bells and whistles and find a way to use just about everything.
- Love HUD, like others I miss it when I drive the Avalanche or the Tahoe
- My wife uses the heated seats if it is below 70 degrees
- Nav system is good, not great and not nearly as intuitive as the Nuvi, but I love the fact that it is built in, not hanging on the windshield
- Wouldn't want a vehicle without autodimming mirrors
- Bose is what it is, I'm no audophile so as long as I have enough volume to hear it at highway speeds I am okay
- I am 6'-1" amd weigh in at 270, telescoping steering wheel gets out of my way for entry and exit
- Power top is fast, convenient and doesn't effect handling or power nor does it take up extra room in the trunk
- All of this equals resale value for when I get ready to buy the next one

That being said, Chevy makes it in a lot of different equipment levels and colors for a reason. Whatever you end up with, good luck truing to wipe the smile off your face when you are driving it.
