I am opening myself up for all kinds of snide comments but here goes.
I just purchased an 07 convertible (Victory Red) with Cashmere interior. I have driven it 400 miles and the leather padding nearest the door on the driver seat is already wrinkled and it appears the padding is breaking down in the same location. Are any of you experiencing any similar issues? Thanks in advance for any input.

Firstly, it's not leather, the side areas are vinyl. Only the seatung surfaces (insets) are leather and a low quality at that.
OEM seat surfaces are lacking quality as is the padding.
When it wears through it will be replaced under warranty.
Regretfully and snidely, you get what you pay for, after all it's a "Chevy"

I just bought a new 07 300 miles and have the same problem. I am 180 lbs. I will be going to the dealer next week!! I expect more when I pay over 50K for an car.
Don't feel bad guys, I paid upward of $70K for my awesome ZO6, the leather in my daily A3 Audi Wagon is 10 times better, no complaints here though, the grin on my face after driving the ZO6 makes it all worth it
I've got an '07 and have put 6600 miles on the car. I don't have any wear on my seats. I don't mean any offense when I ask this, but how much do you weigh? I am 6', weigh 185 lb. and apply conditioner to my seats several times a month. Like I said, I don't have any wear on my seats. I'm not sure whether to attribute it to my detailing practices or my body fat composition.

I am 5'11 180lbs. It is not a ware issue the padding is failing. My car has onlly 300 miles.
After 44k miles my driver's seat has a quarter sized wear spot on the left bolster. My wallet also has a wear spot on one corner. Coincidence? Not a chance. The problem is that I've obviously saved too much money, which is now wearing holes in my wallet and the seat.
Wear and tear in that area is directly affected by the grace of entry and exit. Do you plop down and then swing your leg weight around untill you can close the door. Then push yourself up and down a few times ajusting your position? Or are you carefull minded and enter/exit accordingly?
I am 6'5" and 265 lbs. Our 07 C-6 has the Ebony/Cashmere
two tone interior, with exactly 6000 miles on it. No problems
here. I crawfish (butt first) in and rotate. Easy enough even
for my big frame. Same process for when I am passenger and
I am 'co-pilot routinely as my wife really likes to drive the car.
No wear on either side yet. I will watch this closely.
I recall reading (I think in my owners manual) that my older 2000 C5 used a special high abrasive resistant material on the side bolsters to help prevent wear on entry / exit.
I now have an 07 Z06 with only 2k miles and already the red side bolster material is so worn that it is clear it will wear through very soon. Does anyone know if the material used to cover the seat on the C6 is the same as th C5?
I had this same problem in my 01 Viper and a dealer on the viper forum agreed to get me a new seat back after the dealership said no way.
I have not asked my dealerhsip yet but I am expecting the same problem.
Anyone tried any type of clear tape like 3M or any aftermarket solutions at all?

My C6 is over 2 years old and I have virtually no visible wear along the seat bolsters (and I rarely apply any conditioner to the seats). Some people slide down into the seat and drag themselves over the seat to exit...grabbing everything in reach to pull their weight into and out of the car. If that's what you have to do then expect to see some wear and tear on your seats.

i believe that you are correct. you cannot "slide" or "drag" in or out with pants like jeans (any type for that matter). that will show wear immediately on ANY surface.
