I have this strange beeping sound that my car makes at different times while I am driving and cant figure out why it does it.
It sounds like a radar detector with way it beeps 3 times than sometimes beeps 3 more times right after but softer than the first and sometimes 3 times in a row.
Does the 07 come with built in radar or can anyone help me figure out the beeping.
No its not the seatbelt.
thanks kerley

After you hear the beeps, are you getting a message on your DIC, for example, "check gauges"?
I found out that if I leave my turn signal on for too long, or the off ramp is too big of a sweeping curve the car will begin beeping and the message on the DIC says that the turn signal is on. My wife finds that hilarious for some reason.

Isn't there something on preset button 1 or 6 of the radio that if held down will toggle from hi to low tone? Just a thought.

You need to look at your owner's manual. 2006 owner's manual, page 3-101.
Chime Level Adjustment
The radio is used to adjust the vehicle’s chime level.
To change the volume level of the chime, press and hold
pushbutton 6 with the ignition on and the radio power
off. The volume level will change from the normal
level to loud, and LOUD will appear on the radio display.
To change back to the default or normal setting,
press and hold pushbutton 6 again. The volume level
will change from the loud level to normal, and NORMAL
will appear on the radio display. Only one chime will
be heard when changing from the normal to the
loud setting. Each time the chime volume is changed,
three chimes will sound as an example of the new
volume selected. Removing the radio and not replacing
it with a factory radio or chime module will disable
vehicle chimes.
Are you sure no one or nothing is touching the park brake handle? Mine is extremely sensitive and my wife has a habit of touching it with her arm and I get the chime. Might not be your problem, but it drove me nuts until I caught her doing it.
Coming from an old Porsche 911 to a new Corvette, even with base audio system, I am frequently hearing sounds (beeping and otherwise) which seemed to be coming from the speakers. I often have to turn the volume down to see if it's the audio system or the DIC or related systems.
