Another save the wave thread
Come by somtime, we can have a Zaino party, plus maybe i could take a ride in that 08. I am on the fence about buying a 08.
The camaradie really heightened the enjoyment of the drive--as if it could get any better along the beautiful winding mountainous roads toward Lake Tahoe
It made me feel privileged to be a part of the vette community.About two weeks ago, we enjoyed a long beautiful trip from Los Banos, CA to Minden, Nevada to Las Vegas and back to Los Banos. Although we waved at many vettes during that trip, only two didn't return the wave: an LMB C6 and a silver C5 Z06. But that won't stop me from waving
Incidentally, the C6--even with the Z51--was hands down the most comfortable car I ever rode in long distance. We never got fatigued. Freeway mileage was an amazing 30+.

I see the telltale four round brakelights from a distance of a black C6 similar to mine. I think my car had a dog-like "need to speed up and sniff the tailpipe moment" which I'm sure we all do. I then drive up along side and notice a rather attractive blonde driving the car.
I smile and wave but unfortunately I think she was too busy yapping on the cellphone to notice. Oh well at least I tried, and before anyone asks no I do not have pics of said blonde.

I'm driving in slow traffic and first I see a pewter C5 vert pull past me on the left, and I look over and the driver doesn't look over at all, despite the fact that I had my hand out the window already waving to him. Then right behind him was a red C5 Z06, and the exact same thing happened, he didn't even look over at all! That just ticks me off, there is no way they could be so out of it that they didn't spot me. How hard is it to wave to someone, seriously! I wave at every single Vette I see, no matter what, even if I know they probably can't see me (such as if I'm on the highway and they are way on the other side)
It's been very bad this year, my return wave ratio is probably under 20%.
The wave is dying.
