Default 8 vettes and 8 waves in one day

Last week my wife and I took the C6 from Los Banos, CA (Central Valley) to Minden, Nevada. We received 8 mutual waves from 8 vettes along the way The first was from an identical C6 twin on I-5, as well as 2 other C6's, 4 C5's (mostly along Hwy 88), and one beautiful blue '64 in Jackson The camaradie really heightened the enjoyment of the drive--as if it could get any better along the beautiful winding mountainous roads toward Lake Tahoe It made me feel privileged to be a part of the vette community.

About two weeks ago, we enjoyed a long beautiful trip from Los Banos, CA to Minden, Nevada to Las Vegas and back to Los Banos. Although we waved at many vettes during that trip, only two didn't return the wave: an LMB C6 and a silver C5 Z06. But that won't stop me from waving

Incidentally, the C6--even with the Z51--was hands down the most comfortable car I ever rode in long distance. We never got fatigued. Freeway mileage was an amazing 30+.

I smile and wave but unfortunately I think she was too busy yapping on the cellphone to notice. Oh well at least I tried, and before anyone asks no I do not have pics of said blonde.
Here you go from Long Island

Then right behind him was a red C5 Z06, and the exact same thing happened, he didn't even look over at all! That just ticks me off, there is no way they could be so out of it that they didn't spot me. How hard is it to wave to someone, seriously! I wave at every single Vette I see, no matter what, even if I know they probably can't see me (such as if I'm on the highway and they are way on the other side)

It's been very bad this year, my return wave ratio is probably under 20%. The wave is dying.
You too..

Took my girl out for a ride last weekend, Maryland to Delaware and back. Stopped at a Prime Outlet shopping plaza. A couple walking along the sidewalk as we were getting out of the vette waved to us. Thought it was kind of strange til we spotted them later getting into a silver c6 like mine.

I've noticed more waves from C1, C2, C5 & C6 drivers but very few from the middle years.
