Just curious what everyone thinks of this NEW '08 color?

How popular will it be?

never saw it in person, but have seen alot of pics. I will be ordering 1 most likely by spring.

 

I saw that color last week at the Corvette plant. It is MUCH nicer than the pictures depict. I had heard it likened to Nassau Blue, but it's not that light, and I think it's much better looking than NB!

Ordered JSB on July 3rd!

I would of ordered LMB if it was still offered. But, be as it may, JSB will work also!

 

It seems like people either love it or hate it. I happen to love it and, if I buy an '08 it will be JSB.

 

#2 following Black for the year

 

I have a 2005 LMB and wanted a 2008. I need to see JSB in person before I will order it. I have had more positive complements on my LMB than on any other color I have owned.

 

for me it's almost the ugliest 08 color, beaten out only by the new red color, or should I say strawberry...

but, to be fair I have not seen either in person...

As far as popularity, I think it comes in 6th or 7th which is where it's supposed to be.

 

And I hope it stays that way! I've ordered a Vette in this color because my favorite color got discontinued. The other available colors do not do it for me, even though they are good colors too:

White- Almost got this. White with red inside is very nice and classy, but I wanted sporty.

Black- I originally ordered this, but changed due to a promise I made myself back when I had a black Z28, "trust yourself Dale, never...NEVER buy another black car." Well, I was probably too harsh, as black is WONDERFUL. But, I would shoot myself if later I was crying over all the tiny pock marks that road debris leaves in a black nose/hood.

Silver- Looks clean when dirty...very nice. Looks classy. EVERYONE has a silver car though.

Crystal Red- I've had two red cars and my Vette I just sold was Magnetic Red. Great color, but I want a change.

Victory Red- Its a good color, but I want a break from Red.

Velocity Yellow- Uh....no.

Atomic Orange- This color looks amazing in direct sunlight. Not as impressed in all other lighting conditions. Tempting, but no.

Jetstream Blue- From what I can tell, from looking at too many pictures for WAY too long WAY too many times, this color is going to make my car POP. Every car I have had has been very conservative with color (maybe not MagRed) and I want a color that stands out. I think JSB will be that color. I like the fact that the color is not loved by all. I guess I am strange.

I have only seen the color in pictures. In my opinion, I've seen some pictures that make it look like crap, and others that make it look a little bit less like crap. Either way, as mentioned above, I'm one of those that hate it. Can you tell?

I'll still say to each his own....

 

The color is a tough choice for some. I also believe that, while the new JSBlue may not be for everyone, it is most definitely for me also. One of my motto's in life has been why be normal! I believe that applies here.

Not sure yet....I originally hated Atomic Orange but that'll be my next color as soon as I sell my VY vert....

 

JSB is a crappy color...for some. LMB is a crappy color for....well....nobody if guess. BUT, I'm gonna get the new steering and new transmission. Those are the most important things for me as how the car drives is more important than how it looks.

I'm looking at your car right now. Its been getting a lot of attention and one tall man took a few pictures of it I think. Looks good with the glass top too. Did you get both tops?

My order is still waiting on contraints to allow it to be placed. I am still in disbelief that I am getting a new Corvette with museum delivery.

I'm thinking that LMB was taken away so they can bring it back, maybe under a new name with a slight adjustment next year for the "Blue Devil."

I was reading an old article last night claiming the Blue Devil would be available in only two color, and one of them was blue. I bet JSB is being used to make way for the BD to have its own, dark blue that sets it apart from common Vettes..

I did not order both tops. Only the glass top. My Nassau Blue C5 had both tops and I never once used the solid top. I like the blue/black contrast (especially with my ebony interior), and out here in California the weather doesn't require the cooler solid top. If I ever wanted to block the sun, one of the forum vendors offers a great sunshade.

Well I agree that the dark top looks great. I got painted top only because I feared what it would cost to get one later. I would like to get the glass top too, but I had to draw the line somewhere as the price was creaping up on mine.
