Lost a nut!
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for one of the nuts that hold on the rear spoiler? One of mine came off and is lost.
I don't want to buy a whole assembly.

Take the other nut off and carry it to a hardware store to match the diameter and pitch?

When I read the topic of the thread, I cringed a little, but then I read your post, and all was good.

Lost a nut....
As you now know it's simple....pull off a matching one and match it at a hardware or auto parts store.

Don't be suprised if you don't find a match for those SAE threads at the hardware store ...

Then tell the salesman you lost a nut and see if he looks down at your pants.

Maybe someone found your nut rolling around in the street being bounced about between the car tires, maybe even getting run over...

SAE threads? No such thing. US automobiles used to use UNC or UNF threads for bolts (ordinary inch measure coarse or fine threads depending on the size and purpose of the bolt), but for the past several years they've used metric threads like the rest of the world.

Actually, I'd probably take the spoiler to the hardware store and buy nuts that fit it properly.

at this thread.
Maybe you should also properly torque your nuts to make sure they won't come off.

Hey, hey, hey ... easy now. This is serious stuff we're talking about. Some of us have lost our nuts and we can't get replacements at the parts store.
I really need to stop posting today. Or drinking ... one or the other
