Default color coded mods

Anyone give me a thread that will put me in touch with someone who is doing has color coded door handles for an 08, color coded license plates for front and back and a color coded third back light or spoiler. I'm wondering if they are already out there or if I have to get a paint shop to paint each one separetly. Thanks

I just painted my door handles yesterday. You can either buy the factory painted ones for $114 or buy a can of Duplicolor for $6 at Autozone and paint your own. they came out great..

Gene sells the painted parts at GMparts house...See his August specials in the Parts area

Many of the forum vendors have the plate frames and spoiler...they should be the same for the previous years as no body modifications have been done by GM....an easy thing to do is take the black door handles off and leave 'em off....looks muck sleeker that way....

Hopefully some of those vendors might let me know who they are.

If you don't want to paint them yourself call Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet a forum vendor. I got my painted fuel rail covers, door handles, Z06 spoiler and license plate frame from them. 1-800-234-5284 OR EMAIL him at bwendorff@fichtnerchevrolet.com

After that I started painting things myself.

Yep, just take them off. Looks much better that way, and it is a free mod. No frame for the plate either, not needed.

Under the hood, I've pulled off and discarded most of the plastic trim. This improves air circulation, letting the engine run a little cooler, and lets you see the actual engine when you raise the hood, which I prefer to fake plastic covers.

Less is more. Lose weight and run cooler by removing extraneous plastic wherever you find it on the car.

The door handles, CHMSL and license plate frames for the '08 should be the same as 2005-2007 and are all available as "GCA" items - Genuine Corvette Accessories and can be viewed here:

http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/accessories/

You can purchase them from several forum vendors and dealers as well as any GM dealer.

The GM website does not show the cost of these modes and I am waiting for any forum vendor that has the color coded items to step forward. I'm trying to decide if I should hook up with my local body shoop guy and have him paint everything or if it's cheaper and better quality to have it done by a dealer. I want the color coded spoiler, license plates, front and back, door handles and maybe parts of the engine sooner or later. I understand some of the plastic in the engine bay can be taken out. Anyone have any pics of what's best to take out and what should stay in.

I just made the door handles and spoiler part of the deal to order mine. In the box, of course. I'll do the install.

Those fuel rail covers are awesome. Are they the factory one's or are those the smooth finish ones? Either way, they look great.
