Install is simple. Directions are good. I did it by myself but having someone to help bolt up the front pipe would make it a lot easier.

I think they sound great. good idle, nice at wide open and I don't notice any annoying drone.

Can a C6 catback be done with just the back tires up on ramps, or do you need more clearance than that?

And plus, I have seen them for as low as $375. why spend $1,000 + on the other brands for the same thing.

I've got a set with the dual 4" tips on my A6. They are relatively easy to install. I did mine on a lift but you might be able to do it on ramps.

The major challenges I had were related to passenger side clearance.

The sound is good. The price is great.

You can also check out your local Midas Muffler shop. They are authorized Flowmaster dealers and can do the install real cheap, no hassle. I did it for my SSR and comtemplating putting the Flowmaster American Thunder on my new 07 Coupe. Just waiting to see what I might see at Carlisle first.

My quad-tip FM system was delivered to my front door for $346.00.

21st Century Exhaust, (800) 276-6399, FM part #17427.

I paid $120 to have it professionally installed.

Quad tips on mine. Paid about $380 delivered about 3 months ago.

I used to have Borla Stingers on my '02 Z06, so relatively speaking these are not nearly as loud. Now my wife thinks they are too loud, but she rarely gets in the vette so no real issue. I loved the Borlas, but these are a great compromise since they have half the sound as the Borlas so no headaches. Still get a nice muscle car growl and can't beat the price. Most other system are in the $1200 - 1400 range.

I figured if I didn't like them, I could easily sell for $200 and get some Borlas.

I don't know about the 'real cheap' part. I just checked with a Midas shop here in Las Vegas, and they wanted $200 for a strict bolt-on, no welding or cutting catback install. Seems pretty expensive for what should be a 30 min or less job on the lift.

Just got my Flowmasters two weeks ago from LMP. Great vendor, shipped fast. I installed them by myself with the vet on floor jacks. It is a bitch getting to the front exhaust fitting without elevating the front. On mine the right pipe was 1/2 inch to long and had to be trimmed to clear the axles and other items. Idel is alittle louder then i expected, driving is ok, no noticable drone.

i know its a vette but for just a catback u can take it to any muffler shop. ask if they will do it for a 80-100. like u said, 30 min job at most.
