I had to post this amazing story, at least I think so.
I was at the plant in bowling green all day monday watching my car being built. The line stopped at 3:48pm and my car was second to last to come off the line. Ok so I came back tuesday morning, 6am to watch my car come off the line. It was selected for the complete testing around the plant (2miles) and passed with flying colors.
The amazing thing is my car arrived yesterday afternoon to the chicago area. I was shocked. Needless to say I'm very happy guy. Has anyone received there car any sooner?

My story was the exact opposite. I also live in Chicago area and waited almost two full weeks after my build date. The car just sat in the Allied lot waiting for a driver. That was the worst feeling in the world. I was tempted to just drive down there myself and pick it up. I assumed because we live in a large city trucks would be heading here a few times a week, but they lady told me they are union and go were they want when they want. Most people seem to get their cars quickly, but I was not one...with that said, it still was only six weeks from order to delivery.

Very nice! One question. How can it be that there are zero miles on it when it went on a 2 mile test run?
I don't know about the time from when my car came off the production line but when I ordered my 2005 C6, it arrived in Tucson, Arizona 31 days later. I never checked the process along the way but I was expecting 10-12 weeks. When my car broker called to say the car had arrived I was floored.
Congratulations on getting your new car so quick! Enjoy and drive safe!

The line had shut down on monday at 3:48pm. My car was second from the last to come off. My guide got the ok to take a couple of pictures after the line shut down. The car came off the following morning (6:15am) and completed the final tests and the 2 mile test run.
The guide is allowed 2 photos only at the end of the line. Then he handed me the camera to snap a photo the odometer
Congratulations on the beautiful new Corvette. That was a fast delivery. Mine came off the line on a Monday and was delivered to the dealership in the Dallas area at 8:00am Thursday. Enjoy that new car!
