Put me in the camp of whatever GM 4718 certified oil is on sale/rebate. Last case was Quaker State full synthetic for $0.99/qt. Oil is easy. I'm more concerned with the oil filter's ability to do its job these days...

Definitive answer? At this moment we're in a dead-heat for second place between Royal Purple and Amsoil. 11-11. Who can pull out that one extra vote needed to take the lead for 1st runner up?
I'd say the race here is over.
On the Internet you get someone who says Acme LubeSupreme is the best and someone else replies I like Freble's Slickner and someone else says Mobil 1 is the best. 500 people who would never consider using the first 2 and use Mobil 1 don't reply because someone has already pointed out that Mobil 1 is good. Then the Acme and Freble's people get in an argument and both look better (or worse) than Mobil 1. So the thread ends up looking like all three might be equal. This poll is an excellent example of why you need to take everything you read here with a grain of salt. I'm ready to get back to Rejex/Zaino, Z51/F55, and a basket full of cat-backs.
P.S., the correct answers are Mobil 1, Rejex, Z51, and Borla.
i would have expected a stronger showing of some of the other brands as they are all very good!!
I'm not surprised at all. I think this poll illustrates well how effective it is for a company like ExxonMobil to do whatever they have done to get Mobil 1 to be factory fill - they have retained 89% of the Corvette Customer base.
I use the Mobil 1 in the vette. But all my Diesel work trucks have Amsoil in them. I have used Amsoil for a long time and there products are great and hold up real well.

Money talks, and if they can pay car manufactures to put Mobil1 in their cars, good for them. Mobil1 is far from the best oil out there. Hats off to Mobil1's marketing dept. though.

I believe the Road runner would choose ACME oil.. (slight bias toward that brand)
