Default Ordering Question

I hate to start another thread like this but could not find the answer I was looking for after search.

I ordered my car on 8-16 the dealership did not have an allocation available at that time. Found out today that they have one available this week. I was told that it will not move and will stay at 1100 until Tuesday. Does this sound right? They seem to have been up front with me so far.

Looking at the constraint list for this week nothing should hold me up. Does this mean my TPW is 9-17 thru 9-23 or will it be the following week.

Sounds like they're being straight with you. Allocations are announced on Thursdays (today); today or tomorrow your dealer should push the buttons to fill your order with the allocation they received today. On Tuesday, GM will actually "pick up" your order, which will result in a change of your order status code to 2500. I suggest contacting your dealer next week Wednesday and having them check to confirm that your status code did indeed change.

The week of 9/17 sounds right if the dealer has an allocation today and there are no constraints on what you're ordering.

So, is Ken updating your order status because you ordered from him, or does he do this kind service for anyone with an order number who asks kindly (I'm fishing here ?
