Not if an LS2 did 340 on the same dyno. This was expected considering the spread of top to bottom chassis dyno numbers with the LS2.
I suppose you are right, but the typical LS2 dynod at 350-355. I've seen some at 360 or so, I have not seen a 340, but I don't claim to have seen them all.
As an LS3 owner who has dyno'd at 390, I'm in denial over the 375

I guess we're all in denial about something. If I remember correctly, the former DSOM Z51 was only able to get approx. 340 from his car when it was bone stock.
Perhaps. But we both know that his car makes 436 crank hp plus or minus one percent, regardless to what the chassis dyno shows.

I don't see dyno numbers holding a lot of weight. Too many variables.
Dyno variances, correction factors, tire pressure, bad factory tune etc. etc....way too many variables to claim that the cars always dyno in the 390s or that they always dyno in the 370s.
So where does that leave things? Right now the LS3s appear to dyno between 370rwhp and 399rwhp depending on transmission choice, the type of dyno used and some other unknown factors.
Let me see the 1/4 mile trap speeds these stock LS3s are hitting over the course of the next 8 months and I'll tell ya which dyno numbers I think are more accurate.
Thats the point, Hot rod, this car is 20 rwhp lower
20RWHP is about 5% lower than the previous test. Isn't the dyno equipment only about 3% accurate? Also, there are other variables, but the question is are the tests done at the same temp, barometric pressure, etc, or does the graph get corrected for this? I haven't seen many comparisons on RWHP of the LS3, so you may be right, it may be too low.

That is correct.
My C6 came in at 340 RWHP when it was bone stock.
I've had 2 LS2 cars GTO (336rwhp) and my vette (341rwhp). So depending on the dyno there's nothing wrong with an LS3 doing like 10rwhp less.
Sorry folks but can't keep going by only the highest results to determine where the LS3 will ultimatly be. As previously stated, too many variables and no 2 dynos are exactly the same.
