Backup Sensors
Has anyone put these on? As of late I have always had these and don't like to give anything up when I get a new car. I will have to back up into a tight area on a lift and am hoping these will help. Would this be a mistake to put these on a Vette?

I vaguely recall a couple C6 owners that added backup sensors and one that added a camera. It can be done.
IMO a backup sensor would not be a necessity in a C6. Granted, rear visibility is somewhat lacking but you get used to judging distances accurately. If you have a fixed location such as in your garage, there are other things you can do to assist positioning your car...small wheel stops, tape, visual markers, etc.
If I have any doubt when backing into a parking space, I'm not above opening the door and sticking my head out to look.

I had a c5 vert and now a c6 vert. The visibility sucks out of the c6 vert. When I backup, I never have any clue if I will hit something. I am probably going to install a wireless camera.

I added the wireless camera......to the front under the car so I can judge the distance to a parking blocks and not damage the front spoiler, chin. See my picts for some of the info.

the biggest issue I have with these is unlike other cars, you can't tap them into the nav screen, so you have to deal with a another stupid monitor. Although the install I saw where the little monitor was mounted under the rear view mirror didn't look too bad.

Perhaps a camera could be hidden in the valence? There must be a better way to do it....

I don't know if I can mount it like that on the vert, have to check how the headliner works.
You don't have to drill the bumper, with the camera, you just mount it to the license plate.

The VR3 wireless cameras work ok. The monitors are pretty small and the resolution sucks but for seeing a concrete parking curb so as not to damage a front spoiler they work well.
Since they are wireless and a spot to mount the monitor is limited just keep it in the glove box or center console and take it out when parking.
