I was just going to post that it looked like my '84 Coupe's dash. 
I would suspect that they've made strides with the technology however.

This is Lamborghini's latest model the "Reventon" it has an awsome LCD speedometer that you can change like the HUD in the C6:

GM - HERE IS ONE VOTE - Don't Change a thing on the C7 to go to something like this!! I hated my 1986 with the video screen. When the C5 came out it got "rave reviews" and I think the C6 is even better!

By the way the new Mercedes S-Class has a LCD Speedometer that can change to a night vision screen. I drove one for a couple of weeks in Europe, I really liked it:

Ok... 911 has a nice interior but it has a sticker price of 30k+ over a C6 but it doesn't have anywhere near this nice interior of a 500k car like you have showed. Would you be willing to pay 150k for a Corvette if GM gives you comprable interior??

That's my style. GM probably already has similiar slated for our vettes . . . in 2020! We (US) are way to conservative when we could easily do the same. But it's that way. Obviously, the UK is geared toward speed, hence, the futuristic/sleek designs. At least our steering wheel is close.
