iPod interface PAL
Last I heard the PAL was to be available thru dealers in Sept. Has anyone heard any more? Any reviews and experience with the actual GM installation/version?

The PAL has been delayed. There were issues with the production unit when tested and it is back in development pending resolution. They are still planning/hoping for a release by year end but that of course remains to be seen.

I jsut ordered the PA11-VET unit. saw some good reviews and that it was easy to install
Anyone here put this unit in?
I'm anxious not to have to listen to MP3 discs that sometimes work and sometimes dont anymore!

I have that in both my 03 Suburban and the wife's 04 Avalanche. Ok sound but horrible interface. Personally, I want a real solution to the iPod for the Vette.

I speek for myself and many others, Please give us some viable information on the PAL ipod interface for the Corvette factory nav system...We are patiently waiting, well we are waiting anyway...

For those of us in the Northeast this isn't that major as most will likely have their cars away for the winter. Hopefully we will have the PAL for the spring thaw. For those that are in warm weather, year round driving climates, sorry. This information is current as of last Friday.

I had a Peripheral unit originally and I thought it was garbage, very limited control and no title/artist display.
I replaced it with the PA-11 and it works as well as it can given the built in limitations of the Nav screen.
All Ipod functions can be controlled using a combination of the steering wheel controls and touch screen buttons. The playlist display and song title/artist is too compressed but that is the fault of the nav screen design.
I would not hold my breath that GM's add on will work or look any better, absent a program update to the nav screen.
