Pretty sure I woulda called him into 9-1-1 with the tag number as a dangerous aggressive/reckless driver and possible DUI.

But you're wise to give morons like that a wide berth . . . .you can't fix stupid.

I have those behind my tail (usually in heavy traffic) all the time. If it's safe to lose him I do, but most often, I try to move aside and let him go. He thinks his truck is faster and he's the better driver... but I know different.

For everyone who read the above, ignore it. 911 is for an EMERGENCY. It does not need to be called for something like this, you may hold up someone getting through who really needs it.

With all due respect as a former law enforcement officer, it's dangerous drivers like that who cause wrecks and indeed can be an emergency.

It stands as prudent advice.

I hate to tell you, but if you suspect someone is DUI you are to use 911 I believe so why would you tell people to not use it?

Those type of people will always be there, I get that crap all the time, it's either ricers, other "sport" cars or the truck racers who speed up and away. I guess seeing a vette puts a kick in their ego or something

Why? Just because someone passes on the sholder does not mean DUI. A jerk yes, DUI probably not. If everyone in the US called 911 everytime they witnessed a reckless driver it could keep other people from getting help that need it.

Aside from that, what do you think the cops are going to do? Send out a search for the guy? If there happens to be a unit on that road at that time he *might* do something, other than that nothing will happen anyway.

Is your advise for everyone on this board to cal 911 everytime they see a reckless driver? What about speeding? Where is the line drawn? That is NOT what 911 was intended for, and depending on the city and time, might keep someone from getting help that really needs it. JMHO.....do what you want.

Nah, would be easy to tell if he was from texas as he would go through the grass on the roadside to get to the access road without waiting for the next exit.

The most amazing thing I see here, and I have lived here 15 years, is the folks who think you can enter or leave a 70mph interstate without the need for on/off ramps, oh wait, I was wrong. The most amazing thing I have seen is someone on the access road on one side of the interstate actually go through the grass to then cross one set of lanes then through the median, across the other set of the lanes and through the grass onto the opposite access road. I guess they haven't heard of those overpass things.

Camera Phone?
911?
Hello

If someone wants to act like an ***, I just let em go. I could care less how close someone drives behind as long as they don't touch the car, but I just slow to the posted speed limit and let em go.

He didn't do anything wrong, that's just the passing lane in Texas. See in Texas the passing lane is on the right or left, because most of the people living there can't tell their right from left, so it's optional. By the way I have a sister in Texas so I have first hand knowledge.

Look at the bright side ...... he could just have easily stopped in front of you and backed up on to your hood and then just taken off ........ some people are just plain crazy
