Try one of the forum vendors ... all of them are cheaper than direct from HRE ... I checked TByrne and CorvetteGarage when I was looking ... both were close to each other.
I decided on Forgeline's instead of HRE's ... mostly because they are from Ohio and I wanted to support the home state ...
HRE makes 2 different wheel spec's ... some are more race friendly than others ... so keep that in mind if you plan to race on the HRE's.
I hesitate to even post this, because I know others will refute my comments, -BUT- here goes...
I bought HRE's 3-piece mesh style wheels 2nd-hand for a Porsche, but I would NEVER waste money on these things again. They were heavy, they CRACKED completely through the widest part of 2 spokes (NOT provoked by hitting huge potholes) and the polished lips tarnish like crazy, needing constant care. On top of everything, the original owner got such HORRIBLE customer service from HRE America that he sold them to me for 1/4th of their value just to be rid of them.
The guy I sold the Porsche to (with these wheels) just told me that he TOSSED them, cause the cracking got so bad driving on the rough Connecticut roads he uses that he no longer trusts them. These wheels ONLY had 25k road miles on them - NO racing at all.
Disclaimer = This was MY experience. If others have had good luck with HRE's, that's cool too.
HRE, like every other wheel maker could have a problem set ... my concern is that they did not take care of the original owner ... that's bad service for $5K+ wheels ...
ForgeLine does give a better warranty ... so does Fikse, Kinesis, and CCW ...

21st Century Muscle Cars always has fantastic prices on HRE wheels and they are authorized dealer. Talk to John, I believe they are having an HRE sale right now.

Apparently, these are quite common among Vettes. I'm fine with that. These are very simple, in a style that works for me, and very inexpensive in comparison to what I have been seeing. Sue me.

Totally agree. HRE's attitude and lack of service quality was my biggest issue in the whole situation.
At the same time I had the HRE's, I also owned Fikse FM-10 3-piece wheels for the same car, and the original owner of the HRE's replaced them with Kinesis. Both sets were custom-ordered directly from the respective factories for our fitment needs, including custom offsets for racing. The buying experience was terrific, especially with Fikse.
They are also BOTH of vastly superior quality compared to the HRE's over the long term - the finish, construction, attention to detail and longevity.
If you must go with HRE and go the polished route, be prepared to spend a lot of time polishing the damn things...even with a Mother's Buffer Ball!
HRE's are no better or worse than anyone elses wheels when it comes to maintenance on an uncoated wheel. I've had every wheel imaginable & if price is no object,HRE would be my first choice...I had a problem(self induced) with a 547 I had on an 02 Z06 & they took care of me very well.
That said, CCW's are in the 99th percentile of HRE,which makes them a no brainer to me.
One thing for sure, you'll be hard pressed to find anything MORE expensive.

Oh, but there are:
Rennsport imports carbon fiber wheels from the UK - they are beauitful, but they are more than $2k/wheel.
Then, there is IMSA. There is a post in here about a European C6 with a set of IMSA wheels on it - these are made for the Lambo, and it requires a hub conversion to central mounting instead of bolts. That set up is more than $3k/wheel, not including labor and shipping.

Also Callaway's Carbon Fiber & Mag wheels are around 2K a pieces ...
