ONSTAR Not Working
Had the Onstar updated 2005 (DSOM) two weeks ago today prepaid the 399 + 15 dollars and have made my 3rd trip to the dealer in Augusta, Ga today they broke the sun visor clip and said the antenna and coaxial cable needed replaced, this causing the GPS not working. They wanted $900.00 to replace both, after about 2 hours I got my refund for the Onstar prepaid. If it is an antenna or coaxial problem then why is my Nav able to track my car while driving. The dealer even tol me the antenna was located in the back under the storage compartment (BS), 250.00 parts and 650.00 labor

If you are talking about upgrade from analog to digital,it is just a matter of changing the Onstar module.I had it done and if you sign on for Onstar for a year,the upgrade is free.Your dealer is not only poor in service,they are ripping you off big time.Call onstars toll free # you will get the real price.

I had mine replaced Aug 06 and have had no issues at all with mine. Maybe you need another dealer who knows the upgrade procedure.

Onstar and navigation unit use two different antennas for GPS, the navigation is located under the dash pad about center of dash , onstar GPS antenna is located under the windshield upper garnish molding, the module for onstar is located in the rear compartment
To upgrade their vehicle to an OnStar® Generation 6 Digital-Capable system, all that a customer must do is:
• Take their vehicle to their dealer for the system upgrade.
• Pay the dealer the regular retail price (no discounts are available) for one of the following 1-year, non-refundable, non-transferable OnStar® Analog-to-Digital Transition (ADT) Service Subscription Plans:
- 1-year Safe & Sound Subscription: $199 ($289 in Canada)
- 1-year Directions & Connections Subscription: $399 ($579 in Canada)
• Pay the dealer the applicable state and local sales taxes on the subscription:
- U.S. Dealers: Taxes only apply in these states: CT, DC, FL, HI, ND, NJ, NM, NY, SC, SD, TX, and WV
- Canadian Dealers: All applicable taxes
• Pay the dealer a one-time charge of $15 for the upgrade
- U.S. Dealers: Do not collect taxes on the $15
- Canadian Dealers: Collect all applicable taxes on the $15
• New customers who started their OnStar® subscription on or after 2/20/07, will also be required to pay a $100 activation fee for their new equipment.
- U.S. Dealers: Do not collect taxes on the $100
- Canadian Dealers: Collect all applicable taxes on the $100
Note: Dealers should NOT remit OnStar® ADT-related taxes to their taxing authority as OnStar® is responsible for tax remittance.
Please Be Sure To Read these Important Points:
• The 1-year OnStar subscription, the $15 charge, and the $100 activation fee are not refundable or transferable to another vehicle.
• Dealer ADT kit orders are VIN specific. Dealer kit orders require a VIN and must be exchanged with the OnStar® unit in the vehicle with that VIN. Proper activation and enrollment depends on this step.
• Customers will receive a new phone number once the digital hardware is installed and configured.
• Any remaining OnStar® Hands-Free Calling minutes that the customer had in their analog hardware will be transferred to the new digital hardware automatically.
• Any nametags that were stored in the old system will need to be re-set by the subscriber once the new hardware is installed.
• The 1-year OnStar® subscription will begin following the expiration of the customer’s existing subscription assigned to the vehicle.

Thanks for the info so replacing the onstar GPS antenna and cable should not even be close to $ 900.00, hell I could replace this myself but I still mad with the dealer breaking my sun visor plastic clip and they had to order one
I've broken a few already but parts usually have them in stock
