Blown Speaker.

Who handles the repair, the dealer themselves, or do they sublet the repair/replacement out? Should I just buy better speakers myself?

It's a warranty item. I had a bad speaker when I first took delivery and it was replaced with no questions asked. I replaced the stock speakers after that anyway.

Will after market speakers go right in ( I have the stock stereo), or is this one of those deals where somebody is going to tell me that "those speakers are made to work with that amp and head unit, you have to gut it all out"?

I just want speakers, and I was satisfied with the sound, just don't like the part about them being blown.

Replace under warranty, then upgrade.

Sell the stock speakers.

Well since you stated that it is the base stereo and not the Bose, I would just let the dealer replace the blown speaker and be done with it. If you opted for the Bose then a better speaker might be in your best interest. I am assuming that the stereo unit is not an importance to you?
