Differential Chatter
Result: Considerably reduced clunking in the rear- occassional or intermittent when you go on/off throttle quickly. But this is about a 95% improvement.
Now I need to address the Torque management issue with the A6 tranny pretty much holding back the shifts at the low end first to second.

If a aftermarket product meets or exceeds GM requirements, you are good to go. And AMSOIL does. I will be using their ATF for the tranny and motor oils for the engine in the near future. The owners manual and/or service manuals will give you the generic requirements for the fluids. You are not limited to Mr BadWrench fluids. If GM is so proud of their fluids, why don't they ever tell us who makes them?? Why?? Because they are sourced out to the lowest bidder meeting their minimum specs. ExxonMobil must have an agreement with GM to get the Mobil One product name on the oil filler cap. There are several products superior to Mobil One including AMSOIL, Royal Purple, etc.

Nothing that a tune with a HP tuner with Software Version 2.2 cant permanently cure! Just bought one myself and easy as pie disabling TM upshifts and power downshifts on the C6 A6.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The previouis TSB, as of 12/06, stated to change the clutch packs if the fluid swap did not work, but the latest TSB as of 4/07 no longer calls for a clutch pack swap.
We already know too that a good amount of those who have had their clutch packs changed have experienced the chatter again... I guess GM finally figured out that changing the clutch packs was not the answer.
So far it seems that using 8 ounces of friction modifier additive as opposed to the originally specified 4 ounces, when doing an oil swap, is perhaps the best solution so far.
Regarding Amsoil, my guess is that the formula they use is simply heavy with "friction modifier", nice and slick... which is why it is yielding good results.
