Maybe you want your next car to cost 5 times the price because someone had a problem with their floor mats and demanded a new car.
It sounds like the valve adjustment was too tight and caused too much stress on the pushrod and spring. These engines are very tough and the fix is easy and simple to resolve.
Thats what you think... I had my SSr replaced and received FULL LIST Sticker for a broken wiper arm Yup you read this right. AND no Lawyers were involved.

They paid you more then you paid for the car?

Wow. Did it fly off and hit you between the eyes or something?

No they didn't have the parts. I waited 6 months no parts called the BBB Volla I had $48K in my pocket and let me tell you this I paid no where near that for that Truck. A maker will usually replace a car like this that has almost no mileage on it is brand new with a major problem such as this. don't kid yourself they have hidden policies.

What people don't consider is a $55K Corvette costs GM about $28K in "real" money. So in the long run its a break even situation for GM.

Use this situation as an opportunity to become good friends with service mgr. Surprise him, and take him a couple of small gifts--starbucks gift cards, donuts, etc. He will then remember you when you have some small future problems. Works for me.

Great suggestion. I've been doing the donut thing for both my Mazda service guys and for my Ducati techs. They've been very good to me since, although I'm starting to notice they're leaving scuffs on my fenders from their shirt buttons or belt buckles.

What's odd to me is why it would take 4 + days to replace or repair a bent pushrod. Something is not right.

op said it was hesitating stuttering and then wouldn't start. Doesn't

sound like a pushrod to me but I am a novice mechanic at best.

The only bummer will be the scratches and cracked rocker panels you get back from "Joe" Chevy.
