Not to trivialize your concerns, but after 2 C5s and now a C6 I am a highly experienced "gremlin" observer. There are so many odd things that happen it almost becomes expected. I look at it this way - if it stays broken I will deal with the problem. The odd "mystery" is not worth worrying about. As with your home computer - can anyone explain why Windows or any other OS does half the crazy things they do? The C5 had DIC displayed trouble codes and depending upon the temperature, road conditions, gas cap torque, etc - there were a truckload of codes that would show up once in a blue moon - you just got used to shutting her down or disconnecting the battery (reboot). I know this doesn't solve your mystery - I just hope it helps to know you aren't alone and that many times only God and St. Zora know what causes this stuff! Good luck and enjoy!
