I think the flashing is controlled by the BCM (Body Control Module), so I dont know if you'd have to add something or not to make it work. I've heard of others putting in LED's but havnt heard them talk about additional flashers......
I have currently changing my Turn/Brake, Front/Back and back up Bulbs to LED; does this require a LED Flasher?
Thanks
What you would need is a resistor. This will trick the car into thinking it has a regular bulb in the socket and eliminate the fast blink. I'd suggest 6 ohm 50 watt resistor.

I hear all you need is to replace the Flasher we currently have for one designed for LED or both... I don't know what the C6 is using? P/N
Here is a link that was discussed in the C5 forum.
Does anyone know the part number for the Turn signal Flasher
Its so much easier to just run a resistor in line with the signal wire. I for one, don't want to be searching through relays under my dash or wherever to replace one with a part from Pep Boys.
This question is very timely. I tried to replace the lights on my motorcycle today. I bought 4 amber lites on ebay and the electronic flasher that they claimed would solve the problems. Nothing but burned out fuses. I also bought 2 flashing and rotating red lites . out of 24 leds only 3 leds are working. Their response was that I need to take the bike to a shop and have them wire in an equalizer. Sounds like a lot to make it work.
I'd like to go LED too, it would match the LED spoiler I have. I believe the C5's have a complete set of rear LED lights available, they are a simple install, unplug the old assembly and plug in the new. I'm wondering if those lights also need a different flasher, or resistor, 'cause they don't indicate either is needed. Perhaps that type set-up will be available for the C6.

That's what I was curious about too. If we already have LED third Brake light do we need a different Flasher if one even exists? I contacted my local dealership and he could not find one either
(Note) Does any one have pics to show how to installs the resistors if that's my only option please chime in?

You should think twice about LED's in the tail lights. The design of the light counts on a reflector so you won't see the led's anyway. A few threads 6+ months ago showed little or no improvement and even looked worse in some instances. The C6 has about the brightest stop lamps I have seen so I am not sure of the need.

Good Idea.. I installed the LED's and the dreaded quick flash began.
Do you know which wire is the turn/signal Is it the middle wire or outside?

mine look GREAT i left one side regular bulbs to compare at same time...
the brake lights are not quite as brite but the normal (non breaking) are slightly brighter than stock. plus the type of led bulbs i bought have no "harsh" spot the light is even paterned. VERY pleased (other than flash rate)

Do you have the part numbers for the LED bulbs, and where you purchased them. Maybe you can post a foto with the LED lights ON.

The LED third brake light doesn't flash or "blink" with the turn signals so no resistor/load equalizer is required.

You do need the resistor to slow down the blink. Above post is correct, it fools the car into thinking a standard bulb is installed. Go to autoillumination.com. Not sure of the part number for the resistor but their LED bulb for a C6 is 3157 Light Tower II toward the bottom of the page.

i was afraid you would ask that no not yet but i will try to look them up and take some pictures. but i have all the LEDs installed now
so i wont take them out to compare side by side. since they were square they Barley fit in the round hole.
