Sometimes I just tell the wife I'm going out to drive "fast"... Here on LI one good place is Ocean Parkway by the beaches at night...... Not to many LEO's nor many people on the road.. Gotta try Calverton and the old Navy 1.5 mile runway soon...
I like to start my midnight rides at about 10pm when roads are more open and I can relax and listen to cd's. I then go to bed after midnight with a hugh smile on my face.
You gotta be single. If I lived alone, I think I would do it.
Kind of reminds me of a time in life when I was still out going strong at that hour. How depressing. Now we get up to pee and go drive around the block and feel like we are living on the edge. HA!
Anyone else like to get up in the middle of the night and take your Vette out for a nice burn???? I get up in the middle of the night for a pee and sometimes find myself 100 miles away from home in my Vette just out for a midnight ride.....
Working the afternoon shift is a plus for late night cruises. Get off at midnight and once in a while drive about 50 miles to my favorite stretch of road and let er rip. At the end of it i'm tired and ready to go to bed.
It's almost as good as sex !!

Recommendation:
Pee somewhere else rather than in Vette. Then you will not need to drive car 100 miles to dry it out.
