Default Not to rub it in...

but here in sunny southern California it is going to be low 70's with sun after some morning clouds burn off. Just like it has been all week.

Then again, with the smoke from all our fires mixed in with our regular smog you cannot even breathe. There were ashes falling everywhere, and I wont even get in to our traffic congestion.

hmm... How cold did you say it was there?

It might be wise not to complain about it. If you travel just about anywhere urbanized, congestion is the norm, in the U.S. and overseas. I'm talking big cities, of course.

Really did not mean it as a complaint, my weak attempt at humor. Just trying to chear up our friends in the colder climates.

I don't think reminding them of traffic congestion would cheer them up. But I think I know what you mean.

OTOH, I will state for the record that it is a bit dreary this morning in San Diego. Low 70's but there is coastal fog.

I love San Diego..........but check out the house prices up here in Spokane........I've got an 18,000 square foot excellent view lot with a 1600 square foot three bedroom home with a finished basement...for probably a 1/3 of what you'd pay there........yes, we need to shovel snow, but that's what a big snow blower is for!!! Oh, and traffic conjestion here consists of a 10 minute wait on our only freeway maybe once a month -- the rest of the time, you can make it across town anywhere you need to go in 20 minutes or less.
I do love it in San Diego everytime I visit though --- think that those people will be able to get fire insurance again when they rebuild???

I know buddy & can only agree with you 100%. However, my wife constanlty says she wants to move, but, then doesn't want to move too far from our family & friends. Even though we live in an area that gets more congested every day, plus, we have snow & cold winters, rain all year, and hot & humid summers. But, where ya gonna go? Arizona is way too hot & dry. California is nice, but full of nuts, earthquakes ,fires, mud slides and way too expensive. Forida is pretty, but too hot, humid, and hurricanes love it there too. The Carolinas could be okay, but, the summers are brutal and they get crappy rainy winters too. Finally, some parts of Texas are great, but, tornados & water are problems too. Guess we'll just stay here, and drive our Vettes on the few nice days we get & thank the Good Lord for the good times we have.

Move to Albuquerque, NM.
NO WAIT! DON'T!
We used to hate the Texans moving in till the Californians found us.

Seriously, at 5,000 to 6,000 ft summers are mild and dry, not humid. We didn't hit 100 once the last two summers. Winter, we have winter lite, you can see the snow on the mountains (my back yard ) but the three or four times it snows in winter it's usually gone by noon. Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes? Never seen one here. Congestion? What's that? Housing prices: about 1/3 of SoCal.

I know what you mean - it gets so hot here in Florida we have to leave the tops on for 3 months in the summer - but it's absolutely PERFECT ragtop weather here right now!!

I feel your pain....it was overcast in Tucson today.

Of course it was approaching 90 degrees which is unusually warm. Normally the sun is shining and it should be about 80 this time of year. The flip side....it's hot here in the summer.

I know a real estate agent.

Middle tennessee is beautiful right now. Severe klear with krystal blue skies and highs in the 60's.

If we are playing top trumps about bad weather, I live in England - do
I need to say more?

My new Corvette has never seen a drop of rain in America, but when it
gets to England - oh boy is it in for a shock!

Anyone want to give me a Green Card?

I know what the "winter blues" are all about. We will get some winter here too pretty soon, but until then, we are 60+, here with partly cloudy skies today in MONTANA. I guess I will take the car for a ride after I cut the back yard.
