I'd just say "That's cool." I wouldn't obsess about what anyone else thinks about your car.
I am curious...are you hanging with the modded street racer crowd? I do know guys that consider a non-modified car to be boring...downright schwag.
(and I didn't look to see if your car is modified or not).
Your experience is just the opposite of reactions I usually receive. I've had a few guys try to be critical of certain aspects of a Corvette but overall everyone has been favorably impressed with the C6.

It's probably because you're 19 and there's no experience in life that would ever bring about the kind of money at that age to afford a car like this unless it was given to you.

They are so jealous.
Look for a better class of friends to "hang" with or say "Excuse me, I am busy sighning autographs". We Vette owners have the "CORVETTE ATTITUDE", driving the "Ultra Cool Machine" 
and others see it and are jealous. Always wave
to other Corvette drivers and start your own crowd. There is absolutely nothing like a "Corvette". Start dating "Hot female Corvette drivers", form clubs, have nightly meetings, only speak with others who say Corvette, Corvette, Corvette. Build communities of Vette drivers and don't let others in. Oh-oh, I am starting to obsess about Corvetts again, I better go clean my Vette.

You will always run into a few haters.... and as any Psychology major will tell you the only reason people put you down is to make themselves feel better about themselves....
So when someone criticizes me or my ride I always thank them for there input and move on, because I know down inside that they feel inferior... and are trying to bring me down to their level ....
