Ordered a new Z06 through my local dealer and when the car arrived the car would not start, all the lights would come on so there was power. The dealer told me that there is a security fuse installed at the factory that prevents the car from running. The fuse must be replaced by the dealer. Well it's been 7 days since my car arrived and I am yet to take delivery. Now the dealer called and said the car is ready. Thinking about telling them to keep the car and get me another Z06. What do you think?????????

Your car arrived and it wouldn't start. It now will start and you want to send it back. I think you are nuts. Don't read so much in to things. Go pick up the car, drive it and enjoy it. It really isn't that big of a deal.
Should have mentioned that I've never heard of this "security fuse" I suspect the battery was dead (low enough not to start the car, just enough to light the lights.)
"security fuse"? My dad delivered cars for years for Leaseway and I know he didn't push the vettes on and off the trailer. Of course this was 10 years ago so things might have changed. I would at least go drive it around and check it out before taking title.
First off, I'd go get the car, probably no big deal. But how do they get them all off the truck if there is a security fuse and none of them start? I'd call then I'd ask them to tell me what was really wrong with it first.
I would go to the owner feedback section on http://bowlinggreenassemblyplant.com/ and ask about it. I've asked questions there and gotten a response within 24 hours. You will need a VIN to use it however.

The "security fuse" is BS. Make sure the dealer knows that you know that
Tell them you want a printout of the cars service history BEFORE you agree to take delivery. Whatever they did should be on it, I'm guessing it was just an almost dead battery. Also, make them hook the car up to a scanner and print out all of the trouble codes, and then clear them all out. Then the car will be good as new.

You've got a dealer with a proven track record of dishonesty and incompetence. Unfortunately, that isn't unusual. If it were I'd walk but since the odds are good the next dealer you encounter wouldn't be much better...
Get the printed record from GM of what they did. If it was just a dead battery or bad FOB, take the car and figure out where you are going to go for service. If it was a real problem that could actually take 7 days to fix you might have a case for refusing that car and getting a good one. For example, if they replaced an engine that they blew up driving it off the truck...
Was it a salesman that told you this, or the service mgr.? Most salesmen don't know Jack **** about the cars they sell. Excluding the dealers on this forum who seem to know their cars.
When I was looking at verts locally, not one of the salesmen knew how to manually open the tonneau cover.
Get the printout for peace of mind, then go out and drive the hell out of that car.
I'm sure the car is fine now, but my biggest concern would be..why did it take them 7 days to get the car started? Just what did they do, and or replace before they released the car.
As long as you haven't driven the car off the lot, it's your call. It's not been plated. It has been Titled though. I think it's still your call. I wouldn't over think this. Crap happens.
Why it took 7 days, hmmm...I'd have been the squeaky wheel long before that.
After 2 days and no dilivery, speaking with the Service manager and the Sales manager would be main objective.
You became customer service priority when that car rolled off the transfer truck. If it was a part they were waiting for, then you would known it, because you would have asked.
That's almost as funny as if they told you it was the muffler bearings.
Some good advice above....a lot better than the dealer gave you when the car would not start. The best idea above is to get the service printout on the car and have them clear the codes.
Don't make any decision on the car until you REALLY know what was wrong. These care are immensly complicated and complex machines. Something as simple as a dead battery or clutch switch should not prevent you from taking delivery and enjoying the heck out of a ZO6......I'm jealous.......
This story reminds me of a time when my wife bought a brand new 95 Camaro. The car was 2 days old with 160 miles and she was on the interstate coming home and it died. By the way, she was 6 months pregnant. Fortunately, her step Dad saw the car and knew it was her somehow and came to the rescue. The car went to the selling dealer on a roll back where it stayed for 4 days trying to figure it out the problem. It was a bad crank sensor. We tried to get them to take the car back with all the smudge on the black fenders and all, but they refused. Within 3 months I was trading it in on a Toyota Camry which really was tight financially with a new baby.
