Subaru nightmare
I decided to take a nap this afternoon and started dreaming that I had pulled onto the highway in front of a Subaru WRX STI.
The driver, a kid in his early 20's and his girlfriend (nice looking blonde) decides to run up on me and got really close (thats how I could see his girlfriend so well). As we approached a small town and had to slow to 35mph he continued to ride my tail. We started to approach the edge of town and a 65 mph zone and he was still on my tail so I decided to put the hammer down in order to shake him, and it worked, he couldn't hang.
Later on down the road he caught up to me as I had to stop for a car making a left turn and we were both stopped and he was even closer than before, so close I could see the braces on his pretty girlfriends teeth. I thought I would put some space between us again. As I put the hammer down again I figured I would dust him fairly easy but I was wrong, he stayed on my bumper as I shifted into second and it wasnt until I was shifting into 3rd did i start to separate from him and then I woke up sweating only to start another nightmare, the Dallas Cowboys down by 7 to the Redskins.. it was a bad afternoon.. those Subaru's aren't that fast are they???

Have you ever dropped the clutch at 4K on a four wheel drive car? All four wheels scratch for traction and the thing just launches!! Its pretty lucky that he didn't rear end you in the first 20 feet....in your dream, I mean

I went from a 420 all wheel horsepower eagle talon to a C6 Z51 vette. My talon ran 11.5@125mph just before I sold it. 0-100mph the talon would absolutely rape my vette. Having said that the Talon had 10k in mods and my vette only has an intake and exhaust (plus the vette looks better).
Point is that AWD really bites from a standing start. Up at highway speed the drivetrain makes it feel like you have two passengers in the car and the vette clearly pulls better at faster speeds.
FYI did you guys see the new skyline GTR ran 7min 38secs at nurburg (faster than the Z06) and it has less HP.

I will be finding a good solution the traction problem after this experience.. like most nightmares you can never run fast enough to get away from the monster .. I couldn't get enough traction in 1st and 2nd.. might be time for widebody, 19x13's and the procharger.. only in my dreams for now.. santa might be good this year.. til then I'll keep looking at Gorman's widebody, that'll keep the dream alive for now..
