Ahhh, the radio was thrown out becasue he couldnt play his Ipod through it, and it was senseless to keep even if he could because his exhaust had so much drone he couldn't hear it over that and his wife bitchin about how loud it was.
The radio needs to be closer to the car and the radio and the car are need to BIGGER. Currently both items, which are the visual items that you want people to see, are being "drowned" out by the spaciousness of the background.
You should also consider using a different type of radio that is not as dark as the road, or find a road that is lighter.
The car and the radio need to be infocus, neither is very clear.
The smoke and the burn out needs to go away for two reasons. First, if the tires are smoking, you are listening to the burnout not the exhaust. Second, the exhaust is going to obscure the very thing you want them to notice, the exhaust tips, which should be bright and readily visible in the picture.
You also need a "catch phrase" somewhere on the picture so people viewing the ad can "get it" in an instant. Most people are not going to look at the picture and study it in order to "figure it out". If people don't understand what the ad is about right away, they are not going to notice that the ad is for an exhaust company. Even after I read in the first post that the object was a radio, it still took me about 15 seconds to figure out what the "cleverness" was.

Smoke coming only from the left pipe means blown engine only on the left bank. It's not a lot of smoke so it might just need a ring job. At least the driver is stopping before more damage occurs.

Good idea, but it took me a little while to figure out what your message was. This is not good since the recipient should be able to interpret your message immediately. “The driver prefers to listen to the sound of the exhaust than the radio.”
IMHO, a close up of the rear of the vette, centered on the exhaust (which is the focus of the advertisement), with an arm extended out the open driver’s window tossing the radio with wires and speakers still attached out the window. Simple, but to the point.

I got it!!! It's a public service ad. Driver just hit some black hunk of debris in the road and it took out the oil cooler line which is on the left side. Oil is spraying onto the exhaust on that side and the driver is quickly stopping. The JBK stands for Just Be Kareful.
It's a little sketchy IMO. I'm not sure if the car is locking the brakes to go back for whatever it is or just what. Unless you can pull it together with text the imagery just doesn't tell a story on its own....no snap.

And I was one of them. So that tells me the message isn't getting across. That should be a prime objective. Remember, you have to shoot for an instant message, if I have to scratch my head, I'll probably turn the page or channel.
Now that some of you have pointed out that its a radio on the side of the road, I get it. Otherwise, my first impression was that I also "didn't get it" and I doubt I would have ever figured it out.
You need a picture of the radio being thrown out of the car window as the car is taking off. Preferably catching the radio in mid flight. A close-up alongside view of part of the exhaust and the radio flying out of the car. Just my 2 cents.
My first impression of your pic was that he was smoking the tires. Didn't even notice the radio.

if you shoot in fall, capture color not alot of dead stuff
looks like blown engine
immature driver ruining his tires
