While I agree that the C6 manual certainly doesn't have the best setup in the world for heel-and-toe shifting, it's not all that bad and I've never really had a problem . . . but I've been driving like that every day for over 35 years in everything from C2's to trucks to foreign exotics with NO room in their offset footwells at all. I still maintain that all it takes is practice, and lots of it. I haven't modified my '07 in any way and don't intend to . . . but if any of the hints or mods mentioned help you drive and enjoy your Corvette more, then go for it.
