On my C5, I changed all the drain plugs to magnetic and would like to do the same on my 08. Anyone have a source - particularly for the differential plug as that appears to be a critical need? Many talk about metal shavings as a contributing factor to the chattering syndrome. Thanks in advance!

 

A diff plug for a C-5 will fit a C-6. At least it did on my '07.

I doubt it would make any difference in the diff. The chattering is because LSD additives aren't what they used to be and just don't last long. Change the diff fluid every year with synthetic and a double dose of LSD additive, then go to a parking lot and do tons of slow figure 8's. That will keep it quiet for a while.

 

The engine drain plug should already be magnetic. It is on my '07.
