Window Tinting HOW?????
HOW did your guy tint your back window coupe owners???? paint the border or sand? how did they do/ how do you like it? what about the defroster lines?
First, there have been several threads on this subject in the past several months. If you are up to doing the search you might find the discussions interesting.
I think the consensus is find a tinter that knows how to do vettes, not one who is going to learn while doing your car. Most seem to use a clear vinyl on the border then the tint the center. If done properly the seam is not visible and the whole effect is to be unnoticeable from outside or in. Hopefully you will get someone who has done it stopping by here and get first hand info. Good luck.

My installer ran the film right over the dots and told me to use a sponge or microfiber towel and press the films into the dots for the first week or so. Best if you do it after the film has heated up from the sun. My C6 and 4 C5s came out nearly perfect. (Same installer). You can only see some very small halos around some of the bigger dots from less than a couple feet away, further away than that it looks perfect.

I didn't watch the whole installation but my guy used a single sheet. It took him quite a while on the back glass. I massaged the dot matrix area with a microfiber towel for a period after it was installed to help the film adhere. There's a very slight imperfection by the top edge of the dot matrix but you have to look hard to see it....its nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the car.I used the tint shop the dealership uses exclusively. They've been doing Corvette's for years.

This method worked great on my C5 and my C6. One sheet, press into dots with towel over fingers every day for a week.
